Each plot is numbered and mapped within specific areas like our garden beds, flower fields, or animal pastures. When you receive your certificate, it will include a photo and description of exactly what’s on your plot and how it’s doing. While you don’t own the land, your plot directly supports the homestead’s real work and mission.

Each symbolic plot is just $5. Every month, proceeds go directly toward expanding and improving the homestead—things like planting more crops, caring for animals, and building sustainable infrastructure. Your purchase not only gives you (or your gift recipient) a unique connection to the land, but also helps the homestead grow and thrive.

100% of proceeds go directly to supporting current and future homesteaders. That includes funding our own homestead, partnering with others, and supporting Here We Grow Community Homesteads — a nonprofit empowering people to grow their own food and reconnect with the land.

The homestead is a living, changing place. As seasons shift, your plot may grow different crops or serve a new purpose (like rotating into a pollinator bed or compost section). That’s part of the beauty — it’s real, alive, and always working.

While we can’t accommodate specific requests, your plot will be placed in one of several active areas on the homestead — such as the vegetable garden, cut flower beds, or near our chickens — and you’ll receive a description of what currently occupies that space. We hope to offer this choice of plot in the future.
